Student Ministry Assistant (Part Time 20 Hours/Week)
The Student Ministry Assistant will have a noticeable CALL on their life from God to lead in this foundational area of ministering to students from a biblical perspective. Using the word CALL helps us define the primary requirements for the person who will lead in this role.
C for Confirmation. Proverbs 11:14 says, “For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisers.” Those closest to the individual will be able to confirm that God has called them into student ministry.

Primary Function

Areas of Oversight:Outreach
- The Associate Minister is charged with making sure that Outreach remains a primary focus of the church as reflective of God’s heart for people apart from God.

Growth Classes

- Implement a holistic approach to programming that includes outreach, discipleship, classes, small groups, large groups, trips, and event experiences
- Create a dynamic Catalytic Weekend Experience
- Create opportunities for kids and families to develop life-changing relationships
- Ensure that giving, serving, and inviting is strategically rooted throughout Kids Ministry
- Lead and/or contribute to other special FC events or programming as requested
- Shepherd and disciple ministry volunteers and their families through emotionally, spiritually healthy leadership
- Provide direct leadership to summer camp experiences

Position Description
Lycoming Christian Church is seeking an individual to a full-time position as Minister of Children, Youth, and Young Adults. The individual needs a Christian College degree who can work in cooperation with the leadership team to encourage spiritual growth in our church family and especially with the children, youth, and young adults. The individual would create activities to develop programs for teens to promote fun, fellowship, and spiritual development as well as planning, developing, coordinating, and implementing programs for younger children.
