JOB SUMMARY
Bluff Creek Christian Church is seeking to hire a full-time associate pastor. The associate will serve as a general associate minister working in the various facets of our congregation (200 people). They will directly oversee both high school and middle school ministries. The associate pastor will work in conjunction with church leadership (elders and pastors) and will directly report to the lead/senior minister. The associate is expected to grow as a preacher and will be part of a preaching team. Courage and obedience to Christ are absolutely essential for any candidate desiring to be considered.

Overview

Most importantly, they should demonstrate a life that is being biblically formed by Jesus and possess a passion for leading the youth of our church and community, equipping them with a well-rooted biblical foundation.

Our need:
We are looking for a man or woman whose primary area of responsibility would be to lead Sunday morning worship including song selection, musicians and vocalists. We currently use Media Shout and have instrumentalists who play mandolin, guitar and ukelele. Keyboard available. We have support vocalists, and want to expand our worship band.
Additional responsibilities would include:
– planning and execution of a weekly meeting for our 9-12th grade youth. Our youth have been meeting on Monday nights in two groups, grades 5-8 and grades 9-12, with total attendance of 12-15. We currently have highly experienced leaders for the 5-8 grade group.
– coming alongside our resident software developer and implementing/maintaining a strong social media presence. We are currently on FB and have our own app.

All applicants, including recent graduates, will be considered. A pay package, that can include housing, is being offered. The housing is on the estate of a church family and is a private one bedroom apartment with utilities provided, separate from the main house. It includes a large bedroom, full kitchen and laundry, living room, bathroom and wooden deck set on a mountainside in the woods.
Tremendous opportunities for outdoor adventures including camping, fishing, hunting, hiking and biking in the surrounding mountains and parks.

We are a growing church family passionate about reaching the lost in beautiful north-central Pennsylvania. We are guided by an excellent team of elders and Lead Pastor, supported by a Children’s Director on staff, who are all implementing change to reach a lost culture. We have grown approximately 40% in less than 2 years including 27 baptisms, with Sunday attendance of about 100 currently. We have unchurched guests virtually every week who continue to return. We look to implement a second service in the future to plan for continued growth. Join us on that journey in a key leadership and support role.
