Job Description:

OCC is a multi-generational instrumental Christian Church nestled in the Coulee Valley near the majestic Mississippi. This area offers theater, renowned healthcare facilities, two universities, and other attractions of a larger city while keeping the natural beauty and the leisurely pace of the country. Our mission at OCC is to make more and better disciples.

As we continue to grow, we are excited to announce that we will be searching for a part-time Worship & Technology Director to join our team. If you love God, love people, and are excited about worship ministry, this position might be for you. This person will provide direction, encouragement, and planning for the Worship & Tech Ministries in the church. This includes the development and organization of the Sunday morning service alongside our Senior Pastor and the recruiting and equipping of volunteers on these teams.

Principle Function:

• Develop and organize the Sunday morning service alongside the Senior Pastor within the context of our church’s Vision, Mission, and Values.
• Recruit, train, and equip members of OCC for Christian service on the Worship and Tech Ministry Teams.

Qualifications:

• Be a Baptized believer (by immersion) in Jesus Christ.
• Believes and teaches basic Bible doctrines of the Christian Church.
• Demonstrates authenticity and excellence as a worship leader.
• Loves God and loves people (be a people person).
• Able to work with an intergenerational ministry team.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a sincere faith in Jesus as you participate in the ongoing spiritual disciplines of Bible reading, prayer, personal worship, and fellowship.
• Spend time developing relationships with Worship & Tech Ministry Teams.
• Assist with volunteer scheduling for the Worship and Tech Ministry Teams.
• Plan a weekly worship service alongside the Senior Pastor and do so with prayer, theological accuracy, and musical appropriateness, taking into consideration the needs of our current congregation.
• Direct one weekly rehearsal (Sunday morning is fine in the interim).
• Provide spiritual leadership for the Worship and Tech Ministry Teams through prayer and devotions.
• Finalize the worship slides in Proclaim for the Sunday morning service.

Terms of Employment:
• Weekly Work Hours: 10-12
• Compensation: $200 Per Week
• Paid Vacation: 3 Weeks Per Year
