Montville Church of Christ

Introduction:

The Montville Church of Christ is an American Restorationist, Bible-centered, and growing congregation located in rural Montville, Ohio.  (Please refer to our website for more about our church as well as service livestreams.)  We are seeking a preacher to care for the spiritual needs of our congregation.

An Overview of the Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will possess the qualities laid out in 1 Timothy 3: 1 – 7 and Titus 1: 6 – 9.  This man must possess the ability to disciple, teach, and shepherd members of the church community. He will be a man who is guided by God’s Word as set forth in the Bible in all matters and able to effectively communicate his knowledge to the Congregation through his sermons.  This preacher will be a humble servant and able to both lead and take direction.  An ideal candidate will be compassionate, gracious, and personable in interpersonal dealings.  He should be trustworthy and able to counsel people when called to do so, quick to listen and slow to speak.  This man should be a follower of Jesus Christ both in word and deed, and led by the Holy Spirit.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited Institution
• Must be an immersed follower of Jesus Christ
• Ministry experience preferred but not required

Job Type:

Full-time or Part-time depending on candidate

Pay:

Salary, housing allowance, and parsonage open to negotiation.

Schedule:

• Must be available Sunday Mornings for the morning worship service.
• Must be available as to serve in community outreach.

We have planted many seeds in our small Congregation over the last few years and are please to be able to offer the following tools to aid in a preacher’s work:

• An in-church baptistry;
• A blended-worship style (multi-instrument worship team using both traditional and modern worship songs);
• Children’s ministry;
• Church choir;
• 4-Camera Livestream to multiple platforms simultaneously;
• A modern website and established social media presence and following
