Associate Pastor
Although the job is posted for a full time Associate Pastor, our long term plan is for this candidate to assume the Senior Pastor role in 2027.
Duties
Act in the absence of the Senior Pastor, performing all Pastoral duties.
Support Senior Pastor in worship, preaching , and teaching.
Assist Senior Pastor in providing Pastoral care to the congregation and support to the many community outreach missions of SDCC.
Participate in leadership meetings with Elders, Deacons, staff, and Ministry leaders.
Education/Experience
Bachelors degree in Divinity or Theology. Masters degree preferred. Agreement with SDCC Statement of Beliefs.
(sdcc.org/about/us-what-we-believe). Awareness of and adherence to Restoration Movement Principles.
3-5 years in full time ministry, ready to step into the Associate Pastor role.
