KCU Announces Jason Aubry as New Head Football Coach
Grayson, KY – Kentucky Christian University is pleased to announce the appointment of Jason Aubry as the new head coach of the KCU football team. With a strong belief in Jesus Christ and 23 years of coaching experience, 20 as a head coach, Aubry is well-equipped to lead the team toward success.
Aubry comes to KCU from Bridge City High School in Bridge City, TX, where he was the offensive coordinator. Prior to this, he served as the head coach at Concordia University Chicago and led his 2019 team to the best record since 2012.
Aubry’s coaching career began in 1999 at Woodland High School in Streator, IL, where he increased the numbers of the beginning program by over 300 percent in his three-year tenure. Since then, Aubry has coached at several schools, including Lemont High School, Johnsburg High School, and Joliet West High School, where he led the Tigers to their first-ever appearance in the Illinois Class 8A playoffs.
Apart from his on-field accomplishments, Aubry’s efforts to improve the academic performance of his players have also been impressive. From 2010-2017, he produced 23 All-State Academic players and raised the football team’s graduation rate to 98 percent (100 percent in the final five years). Aubry plans to develop football players who have a life plan to become Christian leaders.
Aubry earned his BS in physical education with a minor in athletic coaching from Illinois State University in 1998 and his MA in education administration and supervision from the University of Phoenix in 2008.
Commenting on his appointment, Aubry said, “There is something very special about Kentucky Christian University, and I am extremely excited to be part of the KCU family!”
Kentucky Christian University welcomes Jason Aubry and looks forward to the upcoming football season with great anticipation.
