Dear campus family,

You may have heard that we lost one of the true KCU legends last night, “Mr G.” Thomas Gemeinhart was a history and missions professor and his impact on the kingdom of Christ, through influencing the lives of generations of students, is a source of personal and institutional pride.

Mr G. was passionate about his work because his work was his ministry. Those of us who had him as a professor knew him to be tough, thorough, prepared, and exacting. We also knew him to be kind, generous, compassionate, and caring. Wouldn’t we all like for those adjectives be used to capture the essence of our life and work?

Please follow this link for more information about final arrangements for Mr G. Please also join me in praying for Ruth, his wife of 64 years, and his three children.

Yours, in Christ,

Prepared for the World

“KCU was more than a University, it was also a home for me. Professors didn’t just worry about my grades, but
they knew about my life, provided counsel, encouraged me, and pushed me to grow. I felt that my education for
ministry was amazing and really helped prepare me for ministry. A lot of my spiritual mentors have come out of
KCU and also some lifelong friendships with fellow students. KCU might not be the biggest school, but it has one
of the biggest hearts.”
